Appreciation of James Sugden

Appreciation of James Sugden

It is with sadness we hear of the recent death of James Sugden, for many years the managing director of Johnstons of Elgin.

James was always enthusiastic about the Woolmill and was very supportive of the Trust from its inception.  In particular, he supported our efforts to maintain our old machinery and retain our essential craft skills, sharing his knowledge and promoting our endeavours in difficult times.

For those who wish to know more of James, an obituary can be found here.

We send our thoughts and condolences to James’ wife Linda and all his family at this sad time.
